At SoléAna Stables, we will help you find your place

Our Volunteers are a crucial part of transforming lives. Whether you're an equine enthusiast, a caring individual, or someone with special skills to offer, we have a role for you and your contribution matters. We are seeking dedicated individuals like you to support our two programs - Horses for Heroes, serving active-duty military and veterans, and Therapeutic Riding, serving individuals with disabilities.
On-Site

Do you love being around horses? Join us a Barn Buddy and help:

  • keep our horses groomed, clean and ready for our Participants.
  • oversee the needs of the horses between lessons.
  • provide water for horses, assist with tack and tack cleaning, grooming, bathing, and general barn chores​.

Requirements: Volunteers must be at least 10 years old. Volunteers under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

For Volunteers who want to work directly with individuals with disabilities:

  • Be a Sidewalker: Each Rider requires between 1-2 Sidewalkers to assist during their lesson and ensure a safe riding environment.
  • Be a Horse Leader: If you are currently a volunteer at SoléAna Stables, or have previous horse experience and want to be a leader during lessons, this is the position for you!
  • Learn from our instructors and others how to lead and work with our herd​.

Requirements: Volunteers must be at least 14 years old.

For Volunteers who want to work directly with active-duty military and veterans.

Requirements:  Volunteers must have extensive horse experience, good listening skills and excel at teaching/mentoring others. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and will be carefully selected by our Staff.

For Volunteers who want to work directly with individuals with disabilities, Special Group Days welcomes Participants to the barn for various creative group activities including movie night, arts & crafts, and more!

Requirements: Accepting Volunteers of all ages. Volunteers under 14 must have a parent/caregiver volunteer alongside them.

If you are a part of an organization or company that enjoys giving back to your community as a group, come out for a few hours or a full day and volunteer with us!

Beyond the Barn

Be a part of a team that is committed to the mission of SoléAna Stables and is passionate about bringing our program to even more families.

Attend various local events to help promote SoléAna Stables in order to reach more families and future Volunteers.

Assist our Staff with general office support such as research and data entry.

Assist with our fundraising efforts throughout the year.

Provide expertise in a variety of fields: photography/ videography, technology, grant writing, marketing, public relations and landscaping, and more. If you have a skill you want to offer, contact us and get involved.

Your journey begins by filling out our online Volunteer Application, where you will take the first step toward becoming a vital part of our team. We’re excited to start getting to know you and your heart for SoléAna Stables’ mission!

Get Equipped
After submitting your Application, our Volunteer Coordinator will reach out to you and together you’ll determine the best volunteer role for you. You’ll attend a training based on the role, where you’ll be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed.
Step 3
Make a Difference!
It’s time to roll up your sleeves and make a positive difference in the lives of our Participants! Whether you are volunteering in the arena or putting your professional skills to use behind the scenes, your heart will be filled.
