Monique Johnson

Monique Johnson is a servant leader, mother, advocate and social change agent.
She is currently the Manager of Partnership Projects at KIPP Texas and prior to that she
was the Program Administrator for the Volunteers In Public Schools Program for the
Houston Independent School District.


Prior to serving in public education, she worked in higher education for over 10 years. She
is a published researcher, college instructor and past Chair of Psychology at the University
of Phoenix.


She holds a Master Degree in Psychology from Roosevelt University in Chicago. Her
professional training began as a case manager working with urban, homeless youth, whom
she passionately advocated for in the child welfare system and in public education.
She is the blessed mother of three children. She is actively involved in her community and
has served as a Board member for the Rotary Club of Houston and Gigi’s Playhouse
Houston. In addition to serving on the SoleAna Stables Board of Directors she currently serves
as Chair for the Rotary Club of Houston Youth and Education Committee and volunteers for
Back on My Feet, a national nonprofit that supports people in recovery.
